Diamond Packaging, a Rochester, New York, maker of recyclable paperboard packaging for consumer packaged goods brands, has partnered with sustainability platform PrintReleaf. The program extends Diamond's existing Greenbox initiative. Diamond says its facility runs on 100% wind energy, is carbon neutral for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and sends no waste to landfill.

PrintReleaf's cloud platform measures the paperboard in participating packaging programs and converts it into "standard trees," which are offset through certified reforestation projects that are independently audited for performance and tree survival. Diamond will deploy the program first for a new customer initiative before opening it to other brands.
