The Flexible Packaging Association, based in Annapolis, Maryland, has formed a Brand Owner Council, a new membership category for consumer brands. Kraft Heinz, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble are the inaugural members, and FPA President and CEO Dan Felton pitched the group as a forum for industry thought leadership.

The council brings brand owners together with converters, suppliers and policymakers. Its stated priorities are advancing circularity, design innovation and sustainability for flexible packaging, educating consumers on the format's environmental case, and adding a collective brand voice to FPA's public policy efforts.
