Vastex International has released a 120-volt version of its RedFlash infrared flash cure unit for screen printers that lack a 240-volt outlet. The RD-18-120 has an 18 x 18-inch curing area and a 1,950-watt heater, versus 2,600 watts on the existing 240-volt model of the same size.
Features include a low-profile 2.75-inch head, digital temperature control, a built-in cooling fan, a head leveler for pallet alignment and a five-year heater warranty. An optional Auto-Flash upgrade uses a foot pedal to swing the head over the pallet and pull it back after a preset dwell time.
A rotary pallet adapter with two vented steel pallets lets the unit double as a dryer. Pricing was not included in the announcement.
