Howard Custom Transfers, a maker of custom heat transfers, has launched HCT Assist, a decoration and fulfillment service for apparel businesses with work beyond their own capacity. Depending on the program, HCT can source garments, apply screen print and digital heat transfers, fold and bag items, label and sort sizes, and pack and ship orders.

Customers can have HCT coordinate garments or send approved blanks to its facility in Elgin, Illinois, and web store support is offered for approved programs. The decorator keeps the client relationship while HCT handles production behind the scenes.

The service is pitched at shops that want to take on larger or more complex jobs without immediately adding equipment, labor or space. Each project is reviewed individually for requirements, pricing, capacity and scheduling.
