S&S Activewear plans a 500,000-square-foot distribution center in the Phoenix metro area, with operations slated to begin in late summer 2027. The fully automated site will use goods-to-person systems and the company's ZeroTouch receiving technology, which puts QR codes on boxes and garments so customers can move product into production faster.
The facility is meant to add capacity and let S&S hold more inventory in the West and Southwest. The company says it has invested more than $200 million in distribution automation, reports 99.9% order accuracy and reaches about 98% of customers within one to two days.
The move follows a June announcement of a larger Vancouver, British Columbia, facility due to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. That site will have about 20,000 pick locations, autonomous mobile robots and an estimated $50 million inventory investment for Western Canada.
