The Possehl Group of Lübeck, Germany, has acquired the remaining shares of manroland Goss web systems, taking full ownership effective October 1. Possehl had held a 51% stake, and U.S. investment firm American Industrial Partners has left the shareholder group.

manroland Goss supplies web offset systems for newspaper, book, commercial and packaging printing, along with digital post-press equipment. The company, led by CEO Franz Kriechbaum, is also expanding its spare parts, service and retrofit business.

Possehl is owned by the nonprofit Possehl Foundation and spans ten business divisions and more than 200 companies. It employs about 13,000 people in over 30 countries and reported consolidated revenue of 8.4 billion euros.
