RRD and HP have expanded their strategic agreement, with 15 HP digital presses set to be installed across key RRD manufacturing locations. The pact extends the relationship through 2029 and builds on an investment first announced at drupa 2024.

The presses will handle commercial print, direct mail, packaging, labels and statements. RRD is folding the equipment into its SMART automation and robotics framework, which uses AI-driven predictive maintenance, dynamic scheduling and capacity balancing across its network.

The announcement did not name the press models, the specific plants or the financial terms. The two companies have worked together on large-scale digital production for more than 30 years.
