Roland DG Americas has formed a strategic partnership with LogoJET, a Lafayette, Louisiana, maker of direct-to-object UV printing systems founded in 2005. LogoJET will sell Roland's desktop, benchtop and large-format UV flatbeds alongside its own R-Series printers.

The lineup lets LogoJET reach more price points, bed sizes and production volumes, from entry-level desktop units to bigger systems. Roland gets access to LogoJET's application expertise, custom fixtures, training and support for industrial product-decoration customers.

LogoJET founder and CEO Susan Cox said partnering was a faster path to market than building new machines in-house. LogoJET planned to show Roland's VersaStudio BD-12 desktop flatbed and new VersaObject RC-300 cylindrical printer at PRINTING United Expo; terms were not disclosed.
