Sparta, Michigan-based General Formulations has introduced semi-rigid vinyl films with an air-egress liner, whose built-in air-release channels are meant to speed installation and allow bubble-free application. The range covers four 6.0-mil white films, GF 220AE and 221AE in gloss and GF 222AE and 223AE in matte, each with permanent or removable clear acrylic adhesive.
The films come in 54- and 60-inch rolls and accept solvent, latex and UV inks, with the same construction offered for offset printing. A top-coated sheet version of the matte removable film, GF NFD 223AE, is sold in two sizes for Indigo and toner presses.
GF rates the media for up to three years indoors or outdoors and targets general signage, decals, point-of-purchase displays, exhibit graphics, and glass and architectural graphics. The company demonstrated the films at PRINTING United Expo 2026 in Las Vegas and ships from quick-ship warehouses in Los Angeles and Cologne, Germany.
